Report the keywords that moved last week, not the whole ranking table
Mitra checks your tracked keywords in Ahrefs every Monday at 7am and compares each position against the week before. The gainers and the losers are logged in Google Sheets and posted to Slack, each with the page that ranks for the keyword. Keywords that held their position are left out.
Every Monday at 7am, read my tracked keyword positions from Ahrefs, compare them with last week, log the new positions in my 'SEO tracking' sheet, and post only the keywords that moved up or down to #seo in Slack with the page ranking for each.

What the agent actually does.
Read this week's positions
The agent pulls the current position for every keyword you track in Ahrefs, along with the URL ranking for each one.
Compare with last week
Last week's row in your 'SEO tracking' sheet is the baseline, so each keyword arrives with a direction and a number of places, not a bare rank.
Log the week
The new positions are appended to the sheet in the columns you already use, which keeps the history that makes next Monday's comparison possible.
Post only what moved
Keywords that gained or lost places go to Slack in two groups, up and down. A keyword that sat still is kept in the sheet and out of the post.
Name the pages behind the moves
Because every keyword carries its ranking URL, the post shows which pages gained and which slipped, so the next hour of work has an obvious target.
Make it yours.
Marketers and content leads who track keywords for a living and do not need to reread the whole table every Monday. Founders doing their own SEO get the same short list without opening a rank tracker. Change any of this by saying so — there is nothing to rewire.
- Include the previous four weeks, so a keyword drifting down slowly is visible too.
- Read positions from Semrush or Google Search Console instead of Ahrefs.
- Email the movers to the content lead on Monday morning and skip Slack entirely.
